Who We Are
Who has the final word?
If you’re like most of us, you probably want it to be you.
But the world seems to have plans of its own, and when the worst things in life
happen, we find ourselves returning to this question: Who really does have the
final word? And if it’s God, how do I know I can trust him?
We had big questions about life. And so we started to search.
And when we did, we found even more than we expected.
We found people interested in the same questions we are, a faith tradition that
dives deep into Scripture with all its richness and complexity, and people who
really love, care for, and invest in one another.
And we found that when all is said and done, Jesus has the final word—and His
Word to us is good. But that’s not where we started, and that’s not where you
have to start either.

and finds answers in
Jesus.

Our History
Christ Presbyterian Church was established in the 1950’s in the St. Louis region. Together with other Presbyterian and Reformed churches, we trace our roots to the first century Christian faith that was recovered and deepened in the sixteenth century Protestant Reformation.
Our denomination, the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, was formed in 1936 with a vision to continue historic Christian convictions that many churches abandoned in the early 20th century. We’re persuaded those convictions represent truth worth maintaining and studying in order to deepen our understanding of God and to bring our faith to life.
As a member congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, we adhere to the historic protestant faith within the Reformed Christian tradition. Our faith commitments are summarized by the Westminster Confession of Faith together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
