Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Sunday School and Worship?

Sunday School happens at 9:15AM during the school year and is a classroom setting where we meet in smaller groups by age to pursue Christian education. This includes studying books of the Bible, exploring topics relevant to following Jesus in our world today, and holding doctrinal and theological discussions.

We have Sunday School classes for all ages, beginning in Kindergarten all the way through adults (and the Nursery and 3–4-year-old classes are also open during this time).

Feel free to join us for Sunday School and we’ll get you plugged in! Or contact us if you have specific questions ahead of time.
How should I dress?
Feel free to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in bearing in mind that we are coming to worship God together. We have attendees who wear suits and ties and those who wear jeans weekly.
What does it mean to be Presbyterian? Can I attend if I'm not Presbyterian?

Anyone can attend CPC—you do not need to be Presbyterian to join us!

Our name, “Presbyterian,” comes from the Greek word presbuteros that’s often translated as “elder,” a term used in the New Testament to describe the men called to serve in the spiritual care and leadership of the church.

As a member congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, we adhere to the historic protestant faith within the Reformed Christian tradition. Our faith commitments are summarized by the Westminster Confession of Faith together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.

Learn more about what it means to be Presbyterian by going to our What We Believe page.
Do you have anything for students and teenagers?
During our Sunday morning Worship service we encourage all children and students to be part of the main service with their family. However, during Sunday School and mid-week on Wednesday evenings, we do have special environments and offerings for both children and students.
