History

Christ Presbyterian  Church was founded in 1958 by Dr. Robert Rayburn, former president of Covenant Theological Seminary, as a Reformed witness to North St. Louis County. After several temporary meeting places, the church was able to purchase land and build a permanent meeting place in 1962.

Originally part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod (RPCES), Christ Presbyterian Church became a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 1983 when these denominations came together.  On April 6, 2008, Christ Presbyterian Church became a member congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC).
